Her husband, Victor, aided by nearly sixty years' experience shopping alongside her, completed the book from her handwritten notes, delivering smart, pithy advice on a wealth of topics.

Clean zucchini by soaking them for at least 15 minutes in cold water before scrubbing with a rough cloth. Avoid any olive oil brand successful enough to have an advertising campaign. Do not dress a salad with balsamic vinegar; to do so is a calamity.
